Pieris japonica 'Passion' - Exclusive Lily of the Valley Shrub - LARGE Plant

Strictly limited whilst stocks last, this is an great opportunity to acquire this recently introduced early Spring blooming evergreen shrub. As the weather warms in the coming weeks, the showy buds will burst in to bloom and look like the plants pictured. Supplied at around 60cms tall, they'll burst forth in to growth and flower to appear as pictured. They will then grow larger and better each and every year.

Passion is an exclusive variety of the ever popular lily of the valley shrub with stunning cerise-red-pink flowers. Plants are covered in bloom all Spring, making this handsome new evergreen from Gardening Express an absolute must have, and with a name like 'Passion' it could also make the ultimate unexpected gift for any gardener!

Pieris 'Passion' was under development by growers in Holland for more than 15 years, the initial attraction being the flowers - on most Pieris these are usually white in colour - but not this one! There were always a few Pieris with darker flowers, but these, unlike Passion, were usually difficult to cultivate in the Nursery, with far less flower power.

For the gardener, this bush has the advantage that the flowers are held in raised clusters rather than loose and pendulous, which makes for a better display. As a result of these unique qualitites, the plant has received the Flora Holland Award for New Introductions. Supplied as bushy plants in approx 7.5 litre containers, at around 60cms tall, in bud and bursting in to flower in season.
