Canna Black Velvet

Canna Black Velvet is a specially selected variety that combines, size and vigour with amazing colour - bright red blooms and dark, near black foliage. It will form dense clumps of dramatic foliage that make for a striking contrast to the tall flowering stems that carry the blood red blooms throughout summer.

Canna Black Velvet is an exquisite half-hardy perennial that is perfect for any tropical of jungled themed paradise - it really bring a tropical feel where ever it is planted, particularly if combined with other exotic style plants such as Fatsias and Banana plants. 

Why not use Black Velvet Cannas as a majestic statement plant and focal point for an exotic themed planting or patio container? It will reach 150-180cms (5-6ft) tall when in full flower.

Easy to grow, it does particularly well when kept well watered in bright sunny borders, it can even be used planted in the margins of a pond!

For the best displays year after year, lift the plant each autumn and store in a frost free position until spring. Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
