Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon'

A colourful little character that makes excellent groundcover that brighten up a sunny or partially shaded border with its cheerful foliage that consists of green with a cream margin and are often flushed with red.

In late spring dense spikes of white flower emerge from the crown. The Houttuynia quite happily tolerates most soils and aspects although might struggle on a windy north facing site. It is particularly fond of wet soils and is perfect as a pond side plant where it will happily spread and cover the soil via its underground stems.
