Hamamelis Twilight - Witch Hazel - Large
Hamamelis ‘Twilight’ is a deciduous witch hazel prized for its dramatic winter display of spidery, ribbon-like flowers in glowing shades of fiery red, orange, and gold. Appearing on bare branches from late winter into early spring, the richly coloured blooms stand out against the muted garden palette, often carrying a light, sweet fragrance that adds another layer of seasonal interest. With its elegant, spreading habit and attractive foliage that turns warm yellow tones in autumn, this cultivar offers a unique year-round appeal.
Robust and low maintenance, Hamamelis ‘Twilight’ thrives in sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil, requiring little more than occasional shaping once established. It works beautifully as a specimen tree or woodland feature and pairs particularly well with other winter-interest plants such as Cornus with coloured stems, evergreen shrubs, or early spring bulbs. Hardy and reliable, it is an outstanding choice for bringing colour, structure, and atmosphere to the garden during the quieter months.
Supplied well-branched, covered in buds in season, in approx 7-10 litre containers.
