Genista Porlock

This low-maintenance deciduous shrub displays an abundance of deep golden-yellow flowers held in clustered panicles from late spring to early summer. These contrast amazingly with the narrow dark-green leaves and deep green spreading stems. It has an ultimate height and spread between 0.5-1 metre which makes it ideal for planting with a mixed border. For added visual interest, pair this shrub with lavender or salvia, which compliment its golden flowers and enhance the sensory appeal of your garden. 

Make sure to place this in as much sun as possible to get the best growth, however it will tolerate some shade. It will establish best in well-draining soil and is fully hardy so can be grown in exposed or sheltered gardens.
