Heliopsis helianthoides scabra - Golden Sunshine - False Sunflower

Heliopsis Golden Sunshine is a dependable perennial that brings months of sunny colour to the garden. Unlike variegated forms, this variety showcases pure, rich green foliage that provides the perfect backdrop for its bright, golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers. Blooming from summer well into autumn, the cheerful blooms feature warm golden centres and are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects.

An excellent choice for cottage gardens, prairie-style planting, mixed borders, and wildlife-friendly schemes, 'Goldsen Sunshine' forms sturdy upright clumps that add height and structure without becoming overwhelming. The amazing flowers combine beautifully with echinaceas, rudbeckias and verbenas, creating a naturalistic display that lasts for months. Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil for the best flowering performance. Regular deadheading will encourage fresh blooms and extend the display, while occasional watering during prolonged dry periods will keep plants looking their best.
