Hemerocallis 'Excellent'

Hemerocallis 'Excellent' is an honestly excellent daylily in all ways, from performance to beauty; it does it all in the garden. This cultivar is remarkable for large, bright flowers of the most astounding colourations: ruffled blooms in rich burgundy-red, dramatically contrasted by a glowing yellow throat, making it not only spectacular but diverse.

It blooms profusely from early through midsummer, thus providing continuous colour for much of the time when many of the other garden plantings are just starting to fade. Remove spent flowers to keep plants tidy and cut back foliage in autumn or early spring. A vibrant way to energise your garden with seasonal impact.
