Hosta 'Elegans'

Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans', named also Hosta 'Elegans', is one of the classical and most stately noble varieties projecting grandeur and tranquillity in every shade garden. Celebrated for its huge, heart-shaped leaves, 'Elegans' is beautiful with a blue-green colour that is of a texture so thick it resists slugs, adding interest to the eye and feel of the hand. The leaves are notably large, giving a pronounced, luxuriant presence in the garden. "Elegans" blooms in early to midsummer, each producing tall stems holding from its tip graceful, pendent, bell-shaped flowers of white colour that stand elegantly above the foliage, offering a graceful contrast and attracting pollinators.
