The Hosta ‘Independence’ is a reliable plantain lily, perfect for bringing structure and colour to shaded garden areas. The stark contrast between deep green centres and cream-white margins is a beautiful addition to any border. In summer, lavender blooms emerge above the foliage, attracting bees and pollinators.
'Independence' thrives in shade and prefers moist, well-draining soil. It also benefits from regular watering during dry spells. The robust perennial is ideal for shaded beds, large containers or jungle-style gardens where its foliage can make a real impact. Pair with Heuchera for a complementary display rich in colour and texture.
