Hydrangea, also known as Hortensia are really quite amazing plants, and this is a very, very special variety that is particularly so. Hydrangea Glam Rock (also sold under the name of Saxon or Schloss Wackerbarth) originates from Germany, and has to be seen in bloom to be believed. We couldn't quite believe our own eyes ourselves, but this floriferous shrub produces a really unusual and dazzling display. The rounded flower heads are formed from dozens of red florets with blue-purple centres and each petal is tipped lime green. As with many cultivars, it produces slightly different colour tones depending on where it is planted, but all will be beautiful. The show is like a kaleidoscope of disco ball colour!

A robust plant, it is very, very easy to grow, tough and fully hardy too, any one can grow this easily.

Perfect for patio planters or garden beds and borders. Why not try yourself and give every one a colourful surprise with the magical colour changes. Grow in moist, well drained soil in partial shade. This variety can withstand sunnier areas of the garden so long as the ground is moist enough. It prefers sheltered spots away from cold winds.

Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.

Excellent service

Very happy with overall service, considering there was a delay due to the jubilee, the shrub arrived within a few days and was very well packaged and a strong healthy plant. The cost of shipping, at the time of ordering seemed on the steep side but considering the size of the box and the speed that it was delivered, this was perhaps an unfair judgement. I will definitely be ordering again

Lovely hydrangea very healthy

lovely hydrangea. Usually when I buy hydrangeas I have to wait till the following year to see them bloom but this one already has blooms forming! Looking forward to it flowering

Received a lovely plant with plenty of forthcoming flowers. Upon opening the plant looked a bit knocked about but a firming of the compost again and a good watering had it looking much better and a few days on it's looking well so just waiting to see it in flower now.

Arrived well packed. Too early to comment on plant progress as it needs to grow. Bought two of these Hydrangeas early on but Husband planted them out before I knew (I had wanted to keep them in pots as special).
