Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Snowflake’ is a wonderful, deciduous flowering shrub, also know as the oak-leaf hydrangea. It is unique from other hydrangeas with its amazing large oak-like leaves which turn beautiful shades of bronze, scarlet red and purple in autumn.

Snowflake Hydrangeas have wonderful long pendulous plumes of double white flowers that appear in July and last all the way to September, gradually turning pink as they age. This long lived plant will form a large shrub, and it fantastic as a feature in a garden border, Oak leaf Hydrangeas can reach a height of around 1.5 metres (5ft) at maturity, but it is easily maintained at half this size if desired with pruning.

This is an eye-catching specimen perfect for planting in a shady border or equally striking in container planting on a patio or terrace. 

Snowflake is a versatile plant growing well in full sun or partial shade and it can be planted in exposed or sheltered areas. Make sure it is placed in moist but well-drained soil. 

Strong bushy plants supplied in approx. 10 litre containers.
