Hydrangea serrata 'Yae-no-amacha'

Product ref: S21736

Availability: Out of stock

Hydrangea serrata ‘Yae-no-amacha’ is a captivating, compact deciduous shrub known for its delicate, lacecap blooms and graceful form. In early to midsummer, it produces clusters of soft pink to bluish flowers (depending on soil pH), surrounded by elegant, double-petaled sterile florets that give it a light, airy appearance. Its foliage is a rich green, turning warm tones of red and bronze in autumn, adding multi-season interest.

Reaching around 3–4 feet tall and wide, ‘Yae-no-amacha’ is ideal for woodland gardens, shaded borders, or Japanese-style plantings where its subtle beauty can truly shine. It prefers partial shade, like many other hydrangeas, especially protection from hot afternoon sun and thrives in moist, well-drained, acidic to neutral soil rich in organic matter. Minimal maintenance is needed beyond removing dead wood and spent flowers after blooming.

Supplied in approx. 1.5 litre containers.
