Laburnum is an easy to grow tree that will make a lovely specimen in any size garden, being easy to maintain at a small size, even as a large shrub if required, or allowed to grow larger. It will also bloom at a very young age, even when less than a metre tall flowers can be expected.

Known as the Golden Rain Tree, it will thrive in a bright, sunny well drained position. This variety is probably the most popular of the laburnums now planted in gardens mainly due to the long chains of hanging flowers, vivid golden yellow in colour, and hanging up to 60cms (2ft) in length. Laburnums generally flower in June and it is of course these that lend it the name of the 'Golden Rain Tree'. If allowed to, it will quickly grow to a maximum height of around 6m (20ft).

Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.

My lovely little tree

I'm severely sight impaired and my narrator won't read all the questions , but I was very pleased with the health and strength of my little Laburnum tree and am looking forward to when it starts to grow big enough to flower, as I know those bright yellow gracefully dangling flowers will be visible to me . they will take me back to happy memories of a day on the canals in our old canal boat, 'Reflections, when we rounded a corner to be confronted by the wondrous sight of a truly beautiful fully grown Laburnum, covered with flowers, which was reflected in all its glory in the canal. Your plant will be my permanent reminder of that wondrous sight, so thankyou.

Fantastic

This was my 3rd attempt a buying a laburnum. The previous nurseries sent me a dead twig and the other badly packaged and died. Gardening Express is so different, lovely plant in perfect condition and extremely well packaged. I couldn't have been happier when it arrived.
