Leycesteria Golden Lanterns - Pheasant Berry
Leycesteria ‘Golden Lanterns’, also known as Pheasant Berry, is a striking deciduous shrub with glowing golden-yellow foliage that instantly brightens any garden. From mid-summer to autumn, it produces elegant, deep burgundy-red tubular flowers with cascading bracts, creating a beautiful contrast against its luminous leaves. These blooms are followed by glossy, dark purple-black berries, which are highly attractive to birds—particularly pheasants, giving the plant its common name.
The arching, fast-growing habit makes it ideal for informal hedging, mixed borders, or wildlife gardens, where it provides food and shelter for pollinators and birds alike. Hardy and adaptable, this shrub is a fantastic choice for year-round garden interest.
Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
