Lithodora diffusa 'Sky Blue' is a stunning evergreen ground cover renowned for its masses of vivid, gentian-blue flowers that appear in abundance from late spring through summer. The star-shaped blooms create a dazzling carpet of colour above a dense mat of narrow, dark green foliage, making this low-growing perennial ideal for rockeries, gravel gardens, alpine beds, borders, and cascading over walls or container edges.

Reaching approximately10–15cm in height with a spread of up to 60cm, this variety provides excellent year-round structure and seasonal interest. Its brilliant blue flowers are particularly effective when planted alongside silver foliage and contrasting spring and summer blooms. Plant in a very sunny position, in well-drained, preferably acidic soil. Lithodora thrives in sheltered positions and benefits from avoiding winter waterlogging. Pair with campanula, dianthus, heuchera, or creeping phlox for a colourful, low-maintenance display packed with texture and long-lasting appeal.
