Famous for its large, creamy-white, lemon-scented blooms, Magnolia grandiflora 'Alta' produces spectacular flowers that can reach up to 25cm across, a truly eye-catching display. This elegant evergreen boasts deep green leaves with rich bronze undersides, offering year-round structure and interest. Its columnar habit makes it perfect for use as a specimen tree, architectural feature in borders, or as a refined screening plant.

Supplied as an established potted tree at 150-180cm tall, it thrives in a sheltered, sunny or partially shaded position in well-drained soil and rewards with reliable growth. Minimal pruning is required; simply shape if needed and remove any damaged growth to maintain its tidy form. Pair with plants such as Camellia japonica, Rhododendron or underplant with Liriope muscari and Hydrangea for a layered, elegant planting scheme.

Supplied in approx 20 litre containers at around 150-180cm tall overall height.
