Nicotiana alata Saratoga Purple Bicolour
A sophisticated and graceful addition to any garden, Nicotiana alata 'Saratoga Purple Bicolour' is a beautifully scented flowering annual prized for its elegant two-toned blooms and long flowering season. This bushy plant produces masses of star-shaped lavender-pink flowers with deeper purple veining and delicate white centres from midsummer to the first frost. The colourful blooms release a gentle, viney fragrance, making this variety perfect for borders, patio containers, and seating areas where its scent can be appreciated.
Thriving in fertile, moist, but well-drained soil in a sunny, partially shaded position, Nicotiana performs best with regular watering during dry spells. Deadheading faded blooms will encourage continuous flowering and help maintain a neat appearance throughout the season. Pair with salvias and verbena for a richly coloured summer display filled with fragrance and pollinator interest. A charming and eye-catching addition, this variety brings soft colour and elegant beauty to the garden for months on end.
Supplied in approx. 9cm pot.
