Nigella damascena Miss Jekyll Sky Blue

Product ref: P28775

Availability: Out of stock

Nigella damascena 'Miss Jekyll Sky Blue' produces elegant sky-blue flowers above finely divided, feathery foliage from summer. Its soft colouring brings a calming presence to borders and wildflower-style plantings, while the distinctive balloon-like seed pods provide interest long after the flowers have faded.

Growing to around 45-60cm in height, love-in-a-mist thrives with minimal attention and readily self-seeds in favourable conditions. Regular watering during prolonged dry spells will help maintain flowering, while occasional deadheading can encourage further blooms. However, leaving some flowers to form seed pods provides valuable late-season interest and allows plants to naturally reappear the following year. Avoid overly rich soils, as this can encourage excess foliage at the expense of flowers. Plant in full sun and moist, well-drained soil for the best performance. Pair with cosmos for a beautiful cottage garden display.

Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
