Osteospermum Blue Steel

Osteospermum 'Blue Steel' is a striking bedding plant known for its daisy-like flowers in a unique silvery-blue hue with violet-blue centres. The blooms appear from late spring through to the first frosts, opening fully in sunshine and adding a cool tone to containers, borders, and rock gardens. Its neat, mounding habit and glossy green foliage make it a tidy and eye-catching addition to summer displays, especially when planted en masse or combined with contrasting colours.

Plant in full sun in well-drained soil or compost. Water regularly during dry periods and feed every two weeks with a balanced fertiliser to prolong flowering. Deadheading will help encourage new blooms. Ideal for pairing with whites, purples, or soft yellows for a serene, balanced display.
