Helleborus orientalis Tutu - Rare Double Pleated Hellebore

A new variety of Hellebore which is highly unusual and sought after by garden enthusiasts, Helleborus orientalis 'Tutu' has extraordinary flowers.

Blooming in Winter through to early Spring, Helleborus are often one of the earliest plants to flower and this variety produces outstanding, rare, double pleated blooms.

Flowers are a medium pink in colour and are speckled with burgundy or purple. They have a gorgeous, centre with prominent yellow stamens. Coupled with the leathery, evergreen foliage, this Helleborus is a true delight and a real must-have for your garden. Prune leaves down to the ground in late Winter to really show off the flowers when they come into bloom. The ruffled and pleated blooms really are reminiscent of a ballerinas tutu - hence the name.
