Dahlia 'Velvet Crush' is a stunning patio plant that produces masses of fully double blooms in velvety cerise-pink tones, all set dramatically against dark bronze-black foliage. Flowering continuously from early summer until the first frosts, this unique variety delivers months of colour and is a real focal point on patios, balconies and in garden borders. Its compact habit and prolific flowering make it the choice for containers and smaller garden spaces.

Regular deadheading will encourage even more flowers throughout the season, while weekly feeding with a high-potash fertiliser helps maintain strong growth and abundant blooms. Water consistently during warm weather, particularly in containers, ensuring the compost remains moist but well-drained. Plant in full sun and lift tubers in colder regions after the first frost, or provide winter protection in milder areas.

Supplied in approx. 1-2 litre containers.

The primary intended use of this plant is to grow food for human consumption.

There are thousands of different plant species that can be consumed, and our extensive range is no exception. We have conveniently listed a large number of edible plants here. Additionally, we have compiled several articles and handy recipes for some of the plants you are less likely to find in supermarkets.

We always recommend conducting your own research before consuming any plant to understand the various ways different varieties can be prepared and consumed. Be mindful of potential allergies when trying anything new and ensure it is suitable for all who may be consuming it.

Some plants or varieties can also be cultivated as animal feed for livestock, such as poultry, game, and livestock reared for consumption. Again, we advise doing your own research to select the most appropriate plants for your livestock.
