Pear Tree - Conference Bush (Quince A)
Availability: Out of stock
A classic British favourite, the Conference Bush Pear Tree is a must-have for any fruit lover. In spring, it bursts into clouds of icy white flowers, creating a mass of seasonal beauty before giving way to a heavy crop of distinctive, long, green pears with a slight russet skin. The fruit ripens in autumn, offering a sweet, juicy flavour with a hint of firmness, perfect for eating straight from the tree or cooking into pies and preserves.
Â
Compact and easy to manage, this bush form is ideal for family gardens, orchards, or productive borders, where its reliable harvests will shine year after year. Thriving in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, it is self-fertile but can crop even more heavily with another pear nearby. Minimal winter pruning keeps it tidy and productive, while mulching and regular watering in dry spells help it thrive. Hardy, dependable, and bursting with flavour, the Conference Bush Pear Tree is a true garden essential.

Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on Quince A rootstock. This semi-vigorous pear variety produces trees with an ultimate height between 2 and 3m after about 5-10 years. It is often considered equivalent to the apple MM106, but less vigorous. Fruit will appear after 4 years and should be spaced 3-4.5m apart.
