Phormium tenax variegata - New Zealand Flax - EXTRA LARGE SPECIMEN - 150-200cm tall
Availability: Out of stock
A pretty, multi-coloured variety of Phormium, tenax variegata carries more subtle tones than some other cultivars but is certainly not lacking in colour.
Striking grey-green leaves have golden-creamy margins with a delicate red or orange edging. Like all Phormiums, this tough, reliable, easy to grow evergreen is ideal for creating real impact wherever it is planted, providing a fantastic architectural feature, especially when planting a large well established specimen such as this.
Planted in full sun, this plant will often flush a slight pink adding yet another dimension to this brilliant New Zealand Flax. Reaching up to 2.5m both tall and wide at maturity the bright tones of this shrub make it perfect for planting in a mixed border where it will mix and contrast beautifully.
Strong, bushy specimen plants supplied in approx. 10-15 litre nursery containers at around 150-200cm tall.

Brilliant!
I can't believe how well-packaged it was and what fantastic condition the plant is. There wasn't a leaf out of place.
And the size! I am 5 feet tall and new it would be big, but it towers over me.
It now has pride of place on my veranda waiting for the sun to shine down on it.
