Phygelius x rectus Sunshine - Cape Fuchsia
Beloved for its glowing golden foliage, Phygelius x rectus ‘Sunshine’ delivers season-long colour even before its first flower appears. This vibrant Cape Fuchsia forms an upright, bushy clump of bright yellow-green leaves that create a luminous presence in borders and containers alike. From early summer through to autumn, elegant tubular blooms in warm rose-pink tones hang in generous clusters above the foliage, creating a long-lasting, exotic display that draws the eye and enlivens planting schemes.
Hardy and surprisingly easy to grow, ‘Sunshine’ thrives in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil, where it will quickly establish into a reliable garden performer. Maintenance requirements are low to moderate, needing only a light trim in early spring to tidy growth and encourage fresh new shoots. It pairs beautifully with dark-leaved Heuchera for dramatic contrast, ornamental grasses such as Miscanthus for movement and texture, or deep blue Agastache to intensify its warm flower tones. Colourful, long-flowering, and effortlessly uplifting, this is an outstanding choice for gardeners seeking extended impact with minimal fuss.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
