Add a touch of soft, natural elegance to your garden with Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Cratus', a charming evergreen shrub with beautifully delicate foliage and a wonderfully relaxed, bushy habit.

This attractive variety produces masses of small, rounded leaves in subtle shades of pale green and silvery sage, creating a lovely, lightly textured appearance. The foliage is carried on fine, dark stems, providing an eye-catching contrast that gives the plant plenty of character.

Unlike more formal, tightly rounded Pittosporum varieties, 'Cratus' has a softer, more natural silhouette, with slender branching stems creating an airy yet attractively full display.

Its gentle colouring makes it particularly effective alongside darker evergreen shrubs, burgundy-leaved plants and colourful flowering perennials, where its fresh foliage provides a beautiful contrast.

Perfect for mixed borders, courtyard gardens, and decorative patio containers, this versatile shrub brings year-round interest without overwhelming the surrounding planting.

With its graceful appearance, attractive evergreen foliage and easy-going nature, 'Cratus' is a delightful choice for adding subtle colour and texture to your outdoor space.

Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.

Grow Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Cratus' in a sunny or partially shaded position, ideally sheltered from cold, drying winds. It prefers fertile, well-drained soil and is suitable for a range of soil types provided drainage is good. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a healthy root system, then water established plants during prolonged dry periods. Container-grown specimens require more frequent watering, particularly during summer, and benefit from a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring. Pruning requirements are generally minimal, although a light trim in late spring or early summer can help maintain a neat, bushy shape and encourage fresh growth. Avoid hard pruning during cold weather.
