Add a touch of understated elegance to your garden with Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Ball', a charming evergreen shrub that combines beautiful foliage with a naturally neat, rounded shape.

This delightful variety produces masses of small, oval leaves in soft silvery-green shades, with delicate pale margins that give the foliage a fresh, lightly frosted appearance. The leaves are carried on slender, dark stems, creating a lovely contrast that makes the whole plant particularly attractive.

As its name suggests, 'Silver Ball' develops a compact, bushy, almost spherical habit, making it a fabulous choice for bringing gentle structure to borders, pathways and patio displays. Its softly coloured foliage also provides a beautiful backdrop for brighter flowering plants.

Perfect for contemporary gardens, courtyard spaces and decorative containers, this versatile shrub looks equally lovely planted individually as a feature or repeated along a border for a coordinated effect.

With its tidy growth, attractive evergreen leaves and easy-going nature, 'Silver Ball' is a wonderful choice for keeping your garden looking stylish throughout the seasons.

Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.

Grow Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Silver Ball' in a sunny or partially shaded position, ideally sheltered from cold, drying winds. It prefers fertile, well-drained soil and will tolerate a range of soil types provided drainage is good. Water regularly during its first growing season to help establish a healthy root system, then water established plants during prolonged dry spells. Container-grown specimens will require more frequent watering, particularly in summer, and benefit from a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring. Naturally compact, 'Silver Ball' needs little pruning, although it can be lightly trimmed in late spring or early summer to maintain its rounded shape. Avoid hard pruning during cold weather.
