Marjorie’s Seedling is a late-season plum variety loved for its large, oval, dark purple fruit with juicy, golden flesh. Mildly sweet and slightly tart, it’s perfect for eating fresh or using in cooking, jams, and desserts. Ripening from September to October, it extends the plum season well into autumn and stores better than many other varieties. Its spring blossom also attracts bees, adding seasonal charm. Marjorie’s Seedling is self-fertile (pollination group 3), making it ideal for smaller gardens or as a standalone tree. Prune in late summer to maintain health and shape. Grow alongside Victoria or Opal for a longer, more varied harvest.
