Plum Tree - Marjorie's Seedling Bush (St. Julien A)
Availability: Out of stock
Marjorie’s Seedling is a late-season plum variety, extending the harvest well into October. In spring, it shows its white blooms, followed by a steady growth of glossy green foliage. By autumn, the branches are gifted with large, oval plums that are superb for eating fresh, freezing, or baking into warming puddings.
Hardy and reliable, this bush variety is especially suited to family gardens, traditional orchards, or mixed fruit borders, as it crops generously in cooler regions like the UK. It thrives in full sun and prefers fertile, well-drained soil, whether loamy, sandy, or chalky. Maintenance is simple: prune lightly in winter to encourage fresh fruiting wood, water during dry spells, and mulch annually to retain soil moisture. Easy to grow and wonderfully productive, the Marjorie’s Seedling Bush Plum Tree is the perfect choice for gardeners who want a dependable crop of delicious plums right at the end of the season.
Supplied in approx. 12 litre containers grafted on a St. Julien rootstock. This semi-vigorous variety produces trees smaller than their own roots, reaching an ultimate height of around 2m, perfect for smaller gardens. St. Julien can thrive in a wide variety of soil types.
