Francis - First Early Seed Potatoes - Pack of 10

Product ref: POT104

Availability: Out of stock

Francis First Early Seed potatoes produce smooth, oval-shaped tubers with an attractive pale skin, standing out for their reliable early cropping and consistently uniform size compared to other first earlies. They are ideal for boiling and steaming to enjoy their fresh, delicate flavour, while also being well suited to salads and light roasting when harvested slightly later.

Go through chitting your Francis seed potatoes, before planting, by placing them in a cool, light, frost-free position until sturdy shoots develop. Then, proceed to plant the potatoes in drills from March to April, spacing each tuber around 30cm apart and planting them at a depth of approximately 10–15cm, with rows spaced about 60cm wide. As the plants emerge and reach a few inches tall, earth them up by drawing soil around the stems to protect developing tubers and encourage strong growth. Finally, after around 10–12 weeks, your crop will be ready to harvest as delicious first early potatoes.

These strong, disease-resistant seed potatoes are supplied in a pack of 10.
