Thunbergia Red

Product ref: PP27647

Availability: Out of stock

Thunbergia 'Red', popularly known as Red Black-Eyed Susan Vine, is an energetic annual climber prized for its stunning scarlet-red flowers with pronounced dark eyes. Its open-faced blossoms form a dramatic cascade over hanging baskets, window boxes, or containers, as well as lending striking vertical colour to trellises, arches, or obelisks. It flowers continually from late spring to the first autumn frosts.

Thunbergia 'Red' thrives in well-drained soil in a sunny location. It is easy to grow and requires little maintenance.  Water regularly, feed every few weeks, and pinch out tips to promote bushier growth and more flowers. Combine with white bacopa, blue lobelia, or yellow calibrachoa for a colourful, long-lasting summer display. Ideal for patios, balconies, and garden structures that require a splash of rich, tropical colour.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
