Primula belarina Candy Frost - Double Perennial Primrose

It's hard to find truly perennial Double Flowering Primroses that grow and get better in your garden year after year. Famed for their flowers that have the appearance of small roses, double primroses have been cherished in English cottage gardens for centuries, but as this gardening style fell out of favour, they nearly became extinct - thankfully, however, they're now regaining popularity and making a comeback - and it is easy to see why.

Primula belarina 'Candy Frost' thrives in cool conditions with moist, but well-drained soil and a partially shaded position. Easy to maintain, simply remove spent flowers to prolong the display and encourage further blooming. Pair with other primroses such as 'Goldie', 'Maple Sugar', 'Vanilla' and Primula Flamenco at the front of borders for a stunning, layered display.
