Prunus incisa 'Paean' - Fuji Cherry

The Fuji Cherry is a beautiful compact deciduous shrub loved for its profusion of pale pink flowers in Spring. This large shrub or small tree has a spreading, upright growth habit and reaches an ultimate height and spread of 1.5-2.5 meters. It's beautiful pink flowers hang in clusters with the light petals contrasting amazingly against the blooms’ deep reddish pink centre and buds.

‘Paean’ has small, toothed green leaves that gradually turn stunning shades of orange-red in autumn providing you with brilliant seasonal colour. This shrub is well suited to planting in a mixed border giving your planting schemes early Spring colour. However, ‘Paean’ is equally stunning when planted as a specimen shrub or in a large container. 

‘Paean’ is a versatile Cherry able to grow in any soil type or pH but does prefer to be placed in full sun. A hardy specimen it can thrive in exposed or sheltered gardens and is suited to moist but well-drained soil.
