Pumpkin ‘Big Max’ is a renowned giant pumpkin variety prized for its enormous fruits, impressive yields, and classic bright orange colour. This variety produces huge, round pumpkins that can regularly reach 20–50kg or more under good growing conditions, with some exhibition specimens growing even larger. Beneath the smooth orange skin lies firm, golden flesh suitable for soups, roasting, pies and preserves. However, it is most famous for producing spectacular show-stopping pumpkins for autumn displays and competitions.

‘Big Max’ is also a rewarding and reliable garden performer. It thrives in full sun, prefers rich, moisture-retentive soil, and matures in around 110–120 days. The vigorous trailing vines require plenty of space and benefit from regular feeding and watering to support the development of their giant fruits. Combining dramatic ornamental appeal with productive growth and traditional pumpkin flavour, Pumpkin ‘Big Max’ is the perfect choice for gardeners looking to grow truly impressive pumpkins that will become the centrepiece of any autumn harvest.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
