Get the neighbours talking with the incredible round Pumpkin ‘Giant Field.' This massive fruiting variety will make some statement in your autumn displays. This traditional round pumpkin produces massive orange fruits, often reaching in excess of 30kg with multiple fruits per plant, and more if singled out to just one or two! This also has the bonus of a smooth rind and strong, well-anchored stems that make harvesting easy.
Our plants are raised from seed derived from the World Record Field Pumpkin, so have the genetic potential to grow your own record breakers. We had around 5 fruits on each plant in excess of 30kg - perfect for really big Halloween Lanterns that will mesmerise the local neighhood with their sheer size alone! Most people don't believe they are real. These plants are the progeny of these, so we know they will be big and maybe, just maybe yield a really big one more associated with fairytales! Selected from oval shaped fruit, they can produce round shaped too, but will more likely be oval given the mother stock.
Vigorous and fast-growing, ‘Giant Field' thrives in full sun and rich, well-drained soil, spreading out with long vines that benefit from plenty of space. Ideal for Halloween carving, or the mildly sweet, pale-orange flesh is perfect for soups, pies, and roasting. Whether you're after size, yield, or versatility, this pumpkin delivers on all fronts. Keep well fed and watered and limit the number of fruit per plant for the largest Pumpkins!
Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
