Rosa 'Veilchenblau', often called the “Violet Blue Rose,” is a unique and striking rambler, producing large sprays of small, semi-double blooms in shades of violet, mauve, and purple that fade to blue-grey with age. Lightly scented with a sweet, fruity fragrance, it flowers once in early to midsummer, creating a breathtaking display. With its healthy, glossy foliage and vigorous habit, it’s ideal for covering arches, pergolas, walls, or even growing into trees.

Plant in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Prune after flowering by removing old stems and tying in new growth. Perfect for cottage gardens, naturalistic plantings, or adding an unusual splash of colour to vertical features.
