Berberis thunbergii Aurea - Golden Barberry
A bright and cheerful addition to any garden, Berberis thunbergii 'Aurea' is a compact deciduous shrub prized for its vibrant golden-yellow foliage in spring, which gradually matures before turning rich shades of orange-red in autumn. Its dense, bushy habit makes it perfect for adding colour and structure to outdoor spaces.
Ideal for brightening dull corners, it works well as a specimen or in mixed borders, pairing beautifully with darker-leaved shrubs. Plant in partial shade in well-drained soil to protect its foliage colour and prune lightly to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.
Supplied in approx. 3 litre containers.
