Exochorda macrantha The Bride

Exochorda is an elegant shrub with graceful, arching branches, and it is one of the loveliest spring flowering plants around - it ought to be in every garden. The arching stems cover themselves in pearl-like buds that open to large purest white flowers in April and May. It will make the perfect specimen as a free standing shrub or used at the back of a border featuring other plants. It is also good for growing against a fence or wall. Very hardy and easy to grow, delicate, soft green foliage is carried in the growing season, which turns to shades of yellow and orange in autumn for additional interest.
