Thyme Silver Queen - Thymus
Availability: Out of stock
Thyme Silver Queen is a beautiful ornamental and culinary herb that combines aromatic foliage with elegant year-round colour. Its small green leaves are edged with creamy-white variegation, creating a good, silvery effect that lights up herb gardens, borders and containers. During summer, clusters of delicate pale lilac-pink flowers cover the plant, attracting bees and other pollinators. With its neat, bushy habit and fragrant foliage, this charming thyme brings a relaxed Mediterranean feel to any garden while offering both ornamental and practical value.
Perfect for herb gardens, gravel gardens, raised beds, rockeries and patio containers, 'Silver Queen' thrives in sunny positions with moist, well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought-tolerant and requires very little maintenance. Lightly trim after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage fresh growth, avoiding hard pruning into old woody stems. Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry between watering periods, particularly in containers. Excellent companions include lavender, rosemary, sage and oregano, helping to create attractive, low-maintenance Mediterranean-style planting schemes rich in fragrance and pollinator appeal.
Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
