Abelia grandiflora Confetti

Abelia ‘Confetti’ is a lively, evergreen shrub prized for its beautifully variegated foliage and long season of delicate, tubular flowers. Fresh new growth emerges with warm pink tones before maturing to green leaves edged in creamy white, creating a soft, painterly effect that brightens the garden year-round. In summer, white flowers flushed with pink appear among the foliage, adding gentle movement and charm while attracting pollinators. It’s an excellent choice for borders, low hedging, or containers where its colour and texture can be enjoyed up close.

Best grown in sun or partial shade with well-drained soil, Abelia ‘Confetti’ is low maintenance, requiring only light pruning after flowering to keep its shape neat. It pairs beautifully with Lavandula angustifolia ‘Hidcote’, Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold’, and Skimmia japonica ‘Rubella’, all of which echo its soft tones and thrive in similar conditions.
