This fast growing Hybrid Willow produces masses of silver-gray catkins in late March and makes great cut stems, as well as being a fantastic fast growing screening plant. Some people are even growing it to harvest the wood every few years for 'bio-fuel'.

Much showier than standard varieties, the male catkins turn yellow as they mature when the pollen develops. It can be found widely in Europe, a vigorous grower that flowers prolifically in late winter and is recommended if you want early season garden interest.

We prune to ground level every couple of year to keep it nice and compact with plenty of fresh flowering stems at lower level, or simply keep clipped back with a hedge trimmer if using as a screen.

Supplied as a bulk pack of 50 willows, each in an approx 3-5 litre container at around 5-6ft tall, these are ready to plant and take off.
