A gorgeous cultivar of the elderberry family, Sambucus nigra 'Cherry Lace' is has deeply divided, dark foliage accompanied by cherry-kissed, eye-catching flower heads. This deciduous shrub adds a dramatic touch to any garden. It attracts bees and wildlife alike with its clusters of pink blossoms in early summer that turn into dark berries by autumn. If you're in to self sufficiently, how about Elderberry wine or home made Elder flower cordial?

'Cherry Lace' is perfect for adding colour to borders or as a focal point in larger garden areas, reaching a height and spread of about 2–3 metres. Combine it alongside plants with lighter foliage, like Lamb's Ear or Artemisia, to draw attention to its dark leaves.

Wonderful healthy plants

When the shrubs arrived they were in perfect condition and I am very pleased with them. They are strong healthy plants. However, the contact from Gardening Express was lacking as I waited from them to arrive. It was a long time between confirmation of my order and delivery, with no contact explaining when they might be delivered. That would be very welcome. I would still order from them again, in spite of this.
