A delightful cottage garden favourite, Scabiosa caucasica 'House's Hybrids' produces an abundance of pinchushion-like flowers in shades of lavender, lilac and pure white. Blooming from summer until autumn, this scabiosa is ideal for informal borders and wildlife-friendly planting schemes, where it can add a soft, airy touch.
This colourful perennial pairs quite well with roses for a relaxed display. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil, watering during dry spells to keep the plants thriving.
