Sedum spurium 'Coccineum'

Product ref: P27328

Availability: In stock

Sedum spurium ‘Coccineum’ is a low-growing, mat-forming perennial valued for its unique foliage flushed with rich green and burgundy tones, which intensify in sun and cooler weather. In early to mid-summer, upright stems rise above the foliage, carrying star-shaped flowers in a brilliant crimson-red, creating a bold carpet of colour that is highly attractive to pollinators and ideal for brightening rock gardens, gravel beds, and edging.

This hardy stonecrop thrives in a sunny position with moist, but well-drained soil and is particularly well suited to dry, exposed sites where other plants may struggle. It combines beautifully with Sempervivum saxon and Scabiosa columbaria 'Mariposa Blue', which echo its compact habit and colourful summer display. Minimal maintenance is required; simply remove spent flower stems after blooming to keep the plant neat and encourage fresh, healthy growth.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
