Silene maritima – Sea Campion

Delightfully delicate yet tough, Silene maritima, also known as Sea Campion, is a hardy, mat-forming perennial ideal for coastal and rock gardens. Its slender, silvery-green foliage forms tidy cushions that burst into bloom in late spring and summer with dainty white, cup-shaped flowers, lightly tinged with pink. Loved by pollinators and perfect for edging paths, gravel beds, or tumbling over walls.

Thrives in full sun and well-drained, gritty soil. Naturally salt-tolerant and drought-resistant—ideal for exposed or seaside locations. Trim after flowering to encourage a neat form and possible repeat bloom.
