Sorbaria sorbifolia Sem - Large
Availability: In stock
Sorbaria sorbifolia 'Sem' is a compact, deciduous shrub loved for its striking foliage and fluffy white summer flowers. The finely cut, fern-like leaves emerge in shades of coppery-pink and orange in spring, gradually maturing to bright green with hints of bronze. In midsummer, upright clusters of creamy white blooms appear, attracting bees and other pollinators and adding airy texture to borders and beds.
With its tidy habit and colourful seasonal changes, 'Sem' is perfect for mixed borders, wildlife gardens, or as a feature in smaller spaces. It thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade, and is particularly valued for its hardiness and low-maintenance nature.
Prune lightly in early spring to maintain shape and encourage fresh, vibrant foliage. Pair with contrasting plants like dark-leaved Heuchera, ornamental grasses, or Hydrangeas for a striking, textured planting scheme.
Supplied in approx. 10 litre pots, lovely bushy plants.
