Sorbus 'Eastern Promise' is a graceful and compact rowan tree, perfect for gardens looking for reliable colour and wildlife value. In spring, it produces flat clusters of creamy-white flowers loved by pollinators, followed by beautiful pale pink berries in late summer that persist into autumn, an unusual and eye-catching feature that birds adore. Its pinnate green leaves transform into vivid shades of red, orange, and purple in autumn, providing a fiery seasonal finale.
Thriving in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade, Eastern Promise is hardy, easy to grow, and ideal for small to medium gardens. Minimal pruning is needed; simply remove any dead or crossing branches in winter. Plant alongside Sorbus 'Joseph Rock' or Amelanchier 'Autumn Brilliance' for a garden bursting with colour, berries, and wildlife interest.
