Skimmia brings colour to autumn and winter, right through to Spring when they treats you with fragrant flowers. They are evergreen, holding the leaves and flower buds all winter, so they are one plant that has to be on the must have list of garden and patio plants if you want an attractive looking garden even on bleaker days. When Spring arrives the colourful buds burst forth in to fragrant bountiful blossom.

Our Collection will include one each of the following varieties:

Skimmia japonica 'Godries Dwarf'
This Skimmia is an extraordinary compact, evergreen shrub, with dark green leathery leaves with clusters of highly fragrant pinky-white flowers that emerge from pink-red shaded buds in Spring. These start off green-white shaded then darken to Pink-Red through the winter before opening in to bloom in Spring Perfect for banks and slopes, containers, beds and borders, this shrub is low maintenance requiring little or no pruning.

Skimmia japonica 'Rubesta-Rubella'
The well known variety with upright, bushy, evergreen foliage of dark green, covered in masses of deep red buds that open to fragrant, pink-flushed, white flowers in mid- to late spring.

Skimmia japonica 'Mystic Marlot'
White flowerbuds in Autumn that colour to deep red before opening to pleasantly fragrant white flowers in Spring. All this against a background of attractive silver-variegated foliage that looks good year round.

Skimmia japonica 'Finchy / White Dwarf'
Striking creamy-lime green buds set against stunning dark green foliage, they are sure to attract attention within the garden all year round. Low maintenance and perfect for the garden border but also in patio containers as part of a feature.
