Spiraea japonica Magic Carpet

Compact and colourful, Spiraea japonica 'Magic Carpet' is a delightful deciduous shrub prized for its ever-changing foliage, emerging bronze-red in spring before turning rich golden-yellow and later soft green. In summer, clusters of bright pink flowers appear, creating a cheerful contrast against the warm-toned leaves.

Performing amazingly in cottage gardens, low maintenance borders and contemporary planting schemes, it works beautifully with lavenders and grasses. Grow in full sun for the best colour. Plant in borders or containers, and lightly trim after flowering to encourage fresh growth and maintain a neat shape.
