Prized for its emerald green colour, award-winning Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' has a compact, narrow, upright habit with erect sprays of glossy, bright green foliage and can reach 4-5 metres (12-14ft) tall if left un-clipped.

This is an attractive, evergreen conifer that has a compact growth habit makes that make it ideal for hedging purposes. With fresh emerald-green foliage that responds well to clipping, the dense growth makes it perfect for helping to reduce noise, particularly as it quickly forms a closed hedge when planted 60cm apart.

Growing 30-60cm per year, it is much more manageable than the better known leylandii with this tamer rate of growth and eventual height of around 5 metres if left unclipped.

If used as a solitary specimen it will form a narrow pyramidal tree, not much wider than 2.5 m.

Supplied in approx. 5 litre container at around 100-120cm tall.

Nice Looking Conifers

My conifers have just been delivered and now looking lovely in my garden. I have to say they look very good quality and a lovely shade of green. The delivery took a little longer than specified but were very well packaged. Thank you will order again.
