The captivating deciduous shrub Syringa x prestoniae 'Red Wine' is well-known for its copious, rich wine-red blooms. These aromatic, tubular flowers, which bloom from late spring to early summer, are arranged in dense panicles to create a visually arresting and aromatic display. In autumn, the dark green foliage turns yellow, creating a pop of colour.

'Red Wine' is ideal planted in borders, hedges, or as a specimen plant; it prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It needs very little pruning after flowering to keep its shape and promote rapid growth, making it hardy and low-maintenance. Place it in a conspicuous location to take advantage of its profuse blooms and delightful scent, which will transform your garden into a lively and welcoming area all year round.
